The CNRS and the Association nationale pour la valorisation interdisciplinaire de la recherche en sciences de lhomme et de la société auprès des entreprises (National association for the publicizing of interdisciplinary research in humanities and social sciences in the business world) (ANVIE) have awarded their joint prize, which crowns research achievements in the field of humanities and social sciences carried out in partnership with a business enterprise, to Marek Boualem and Stéphane Harié, of the Parole et Langage (Speech and Language) Laboratory (CNRS and Université de Provence), for their MtScript project.
MtScript is a publishing software for multilingual documents. It has
already been used, via Internet, in more than thirty-two countries. Thanks
to this software, multilingual texts written in a host of languages -
French, Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian, Bulgarian, Greek, Czech, Estonian,
Hungarian, Slovenian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.- can
be entered, coded and edited. Several industrial firms collaborated on
the development of this software in the framework of a European project. CNRS Contact: Annick Ternier, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Tel.: 33 1 44 96 43 10 3, rue Michel-Ange - 75794 Paris cedex 16 ANVIE Contact: |
