CNRS signs on with India for another 5 year of cooperation in applied Mathematics

28 février 2018

The CNRS and the Indian Department of Science & Technology (DST) renewed the Indo-French Center for Applied Mathematics (IFCAM) for 5 years during a ceremony that took place in Chennai on February 1st, 2018, gathering the French and Indian mathematical communities.

The Joint International Unit (UMI) IFCAM, based within the prestigious Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore (IIS), works as a virtual research platform for the math community.

IFCAM launches yearly calls for proposals for French and Indian mathematicians wishing to develop their cooperation. The support provided by IFCAM covers a wide range of research activities in all fields of mathematics, including mobility support for cooperation projects, short-term visits to France or India, winter and summer schools and joint research workshops.
