A high-ranking research engineer, Joëlle Raguideau originally studied contemporary literature. She started her career as a teacher and later worked for publisher Éditions du Seuil before joining the CNRS. From 2008, she acted as advisor to the Presidency for the development of sponsorship projects, as well as policy officer for the organization's offices across France. She was named director of the MPR in July 2010.
In addition to coordinating relations with the CNRS regional offices, the MPR liaises between the various entities of the Resources and Research Offices, and ensures coordination with the ten CNRS Institutes.
