Missions

In cooperation with the Resources Office, the ten CNRS Institutes and the Department for the Territorial Organization of Research (DASTR), the DIST is in charge of collecting, processing, archiving and distributing the documentary resources necessary to the CNRS research units. It provides researchers with thematic and interdisciplinary portals for accessing these resources, as well as scientific intelligence tools. On behalf of the CNRS, it  participates in devising national policyies on the acquisition of digital data. It also contributes to technology transfer and the dissemination of new scientific knowledge, especially in the form of open archives
