Ghislaine BalaDirector of Accounts and Financial Information

Ghislaine Bala is a public finance administrator who began her career with the French Public Treasury in 1983 where she worked as a senior inspector on auditing Parisian national public treasuries and institutions. In 2002 she was promoted to the rank of department head at the Treasury, then successively to the positions of head of the computing department in Bobigny and director of the Paris-Montreuil computing services organisation. She joined the French Finance Ministry's International Cooperation Mission at Bercy in 2012 as head of the Public Administration pole. From January 2017 to June 2022, she held the post of Budget accounting officer under the authority of the Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (DILA). Ghislaine Bala has now joined the CNRS as Principal Accountant and as the Director of Accounts and Financial Information.

Missions

The Accounts and Financial Information Department (DCIF) is the guarantor of the regularity of the organisation's accounting operations and is responsible for the coherency of all its financial and accounting information. It monitors and records administrative operations linked to the implementation of appropriations and how the CNRS budget is used. The DIF also guarantees the completeness and quality of data. It provides financial information according to the requirements and schedules of the CNRS's user departments, management or supervisory authorities. It is in charge of information systems and data administration project management in its field.
