The 'Oceans and Climate' PPR
The 'Oceans and Climate' PPR aims to structure French research to protect and increase understanding of this ecosystem around seven major challenges - predicting the impacts of climate change in French overseas territories, intensifying research in polar oceans, improving the protection and resilience of marine environments, the sustainable exploitation of ocean resources, characterising environmental stress factors in the marine environment, developing innovative observation and modelling programmes and finally sharing research discoveries with the general public.
