The CNRS, a key actor in deeptech, is participating in the 2023 edition of Vivatech

With its fourth time participating in the Vivatech gathering, from 14-17 June 2023 in Paris, the CNRS confirms its driving role in deeptech. Experts from the organization and representatives from start-ups that grew out of laboratories under the supervisory authority of the CNRS will present emerging technologies that address both current and future challenges. This year emphasis will be placed on quantum technology, sustainable development, health, and energy.
The CNRS is highlighting the major challenges of the future, such as treating complex diseases using precision medicine, conceiving a silicon-based quantum computer, or decarbonising hydrogen production. This innovation will be presented at the research organization’s stand at Vivatech from 14-17 June in Paris.
In connection with the SATT Network, the CNRS opted to place special emphasis on trends within the innovation ecosystem that address current-day issues in the fields of quantum technology, sustainable development, health, and energy. Ten start-ups will be present to share their experience and projects, as well as to communicate with the public.
This year a space for discussion will be featured in the extensive programming at the CNRS stand, including interventions by CNRS experts (PEPR leaders, researchers) and representatives from the business world (start-ups in particular). They will offer the public insights into the scientific research strategies being pursued as part of national acceleration strategies, as well as existing innovation that grew out of public research that has helped build the world of tomorrow.
The CNRS’s participation in this new edition is in close connection with CNRS Innovation and the SATT (Technology Transfer Company) Network, which play a decisive role in the technology transfer of research emerging from laboratories under CNRS supervisory authority, and thereby to the emergence of deeptech start-ups. They will be present at the CNRS stand to offer detailed presentations of their programmes offering support to scientists.
The CNRS:
- Was ranked 6th in 2022 among primary patent filers, for the fifth straight year, by the French National Industrial Property Institute (INPI),
- Includes over 1,400 active enterprises created from research results that emerged from laboratories under its supervisory authority.
The CNRS is one of the largest actors in French deeptech.
